I received this flag when I became a citizen of the United States back in 2011. It’s displayed on a spot where I can see it everyday to remind me of the day I became an American and to remind me to be a productive citizen of my adopted country.
Today, Memorial Day, the flag is a symbol of remembrance of the men and women who died for the United States so that its citizens may continue to live in liberty. We are eternally grateful.
