Tasty Tuesday: Garbure, a French Soup

Garbure is a thick French soup or stew of ham with cabbage and other vegetables, usually with cheese and stale bread added. – Wikipedia

Served at Le Navarre French Restaurant, 77 Boulevard de la Grotte 65100 Lourdes, France

I had this massive bowl of garbure for lunch. This version had duck in it as well as a big slice of ham buried under the vegetables. I’m a soup fan, so I enjoyed this bowl although I did not finish everything. European servings are even bigger than American servings, it seems. The bowl could have easily fed two people.
