History fans may already know that the General Grant National Memorial located at Riverside Dr and West 122nd St in Morningside Heights Manhattan is a NO FEE place historic place to visit.

He and his wife are buried in the neoclassical building designed by architect John H. Duncan.
Grant’s Tomb is open to the public and every April 27 on Grant’s birthday a ceremony celebrating his life is held at the memorial.
