Tasty Tuesday: Foie Gras with Apple Tarte Tatin

I watch cooking shows a lot. One of the ingredients that sounds so sophisticated and delicious is foie gras. So, on our last Gala Night aboard ms Amsterdam, when I saw on the menu that foie gras is one of the appetizers, there was no way I was ordering anything else.

Foie gras, I know, is fattened liver of either a duck or goose. It is a well known delicacy in French cuisine. Although, I had tasted plenty of dishes with pork, beef, and chicken liver as ingredients, I have never had foie gras.
The whole dish was yummy. I loved the Apple Tarte Tatin. The foie gras was just the right size to make the dish interesting. The sauce was fabulous. I wouldn’t have minded more of the Apple Tarte Tatin.
