Free Friday: North Cascades National Park, WA

North Cascades National Park, also known as the American Alps, is located in the state of Washington. Visitors may come and enjoy the park for FREE.

The park features jagged mountain peaks with about 300 glaciers. It is a popular destination for campers, hikers, and mountaineers.

Hubby and I with my sister-in-law spent half a day at the park. We stopped by the Visitor Center to watch a short film on the North Cascades Mountains.

Then we headed to the boardwalk that would lead us to the perfect viewing point to see the Picket Range where a glacier can be clearly seen on a cloudless day.

Our next stop was the viewing area for Gorge Creek Falls. It’s a roadside falls, but may be missed easily.

The best view can be seen from Diablo Lake Overlook. The view of a green lake and mountain peaks were absolutely mesmerizing. It was such a pleasure to gaze upon such beauty.

The experience once again proved why the National Parks are America’s best idea. 😍😍😍
