Throwback: Joe Paterno Statue at Penn State, USA

May of 2012 was the first and last time hubby and I laid eyes on Joe Paterno’s Statue.

Joe Paterno was an American college football coach who was head coach of the Penn State football team. He was the winningest coach in Football  Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA. But his career ended when he was terminated as a result of the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.

His statue was taken down, put in storage, and finally melted  to make the bronze letters affixed to the Food Science building of Penn State.
