Photo 101, Day 3: Water

Saint Paul Bay in Palawan, Philippines

The presence of a big body of water helps shorten travel time in most instances and makes travel fun for some people. I love boat rides!

Back to water cutting travel time, for example, it takes up to 2 hours for hikers to reach the loading dock for the Puerto Princesa Underground River Tour. Those who choose to go by boat reach Saint Paul Bay in 20 minutes.

Saint Paul Bay is where boats from the port of a town called Sabang drop off passengers who are booked for a tour of Puerto Princesa Underground River, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Photo 101 Keywords: vertical vs horizontal

I am realizing that I prefer horizontal shots and most pictures I take are wide-angled.

Which type of shot do you usually take?

  1. Depends. To me your pic are perfectly framed, and the horizontal suits the theme you chose. But I guess if you want to give more depth or attention to details, you might change the frame?..
