The soul food binge continued on our last night in Tennessee. Hubby wanted to eat at Hattie B’s Hot Chicken Restaurant. He read that Nashville natives highly recommend the place.
Unfortunately for him, it was full and there was no parking anywhere near the restaurant. I got tired of us driving around for half an hour hoping we’d get lucky and get a parking spot. So, I decided it was better to find a restaurant near our hotel in Franklin City.
As hubby dearest still wanted a plate of soul food, we again turned to our good friend Google for help. Bishop’s Meat and Three was first on the list with a high rating, so we headed there.
The fried chicken turned out to be what we love about fried chicken, crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. And I had something that I haven’t tasted before, carrot soufflé! It was yummy! Yummier than sweet potatoes. I swear. 😋
Again, we left highly satisfied and happy. We would be leaving Tennesse without saying, “We should have done this”.
