We have stayed at this hotel a few times and each time my husband and I were fairly satisfied with our stays. The rooms we were given were always clean and smelled fresh. Beds were comfortable and requests for extra towels and pillows were always accommodated.
For our recent stay, nothing was different except that the receptionist upon check in did not give us a voucher for breakfast telling us that it was not needed. We took the receptionist’s word on it and headed to our room.
I love the view from our room. It’s an outdoor lounging area with a fireplace. Very romantic.
There was no issue until it was time for breakfast at Seeds where breakfast is served buffet or a la cart. The host at the restaurant asked us for a breakfast voucher which we were told upon check in, not necessary. We waited at least five minutes as the host verified that breakfast came with our stay. Once that’s cleared up, we were seated.
At the end of our meal, the server gave us our bill to sign and with the instruction to leave our voucher with her. I have become irritated at this point. No way was I going to explain the voucher situation again.
I signed the bill and jotted down on the bill pertinent info with an added note about us not having a voucher. Next time, I’m demanding a voucher from the front desk to avoid this annoying issue.
If this card is so important, it should be provided to guests without fail. I don’t want to be explaining to every single Marriott personnel why I don’t have it.
I made sure to get a receipt upon check out to make sure there were no added charges on our bill. All seemed well.
Inspite of this, hubby and I are likely staying here again. He prefers to stay in Marriott hotels as he is a rewards member.
