Tasty Tuesday: Eat Like a Local in the Philippines (Part 2)

What to eat in the Philippines for an authentic Filipino experience? Hear it from an insider. Of course, this insider! Believe me, I know a thing or two about what Pinoys eat.čśë

Inasal is the Filipino word for skewered. Oh, how we love inasal! In my region, chicken inasal is very popular. Skewer, grill, and eat!

Pork inasal is not to be skipped as well.

Throw in a cup of garlic rice and enjoy.

Visitors need to try the seafood whether it’s fried, grilled, steamed, or ceviche.

Finally, kare kare, a Philippine stew, is originally made of oxtail, peanut sauce, and vegetables.

There are variations to kare kare. It could be pork or seafood like the bowl above. It is delicious and very Filipino.

When in the Philippines, enhance your experience by trying out food that locals enjoy regularly. It’ll make your visit much more than just a tour.
