Free Friday: Check Out Downtown Reykjavik

A free thing to do in places I visited.

I think it’s a must for visitors to get acquainted with a city’s downtown area. Mostly, it’s where happenings are. In Iceland, the downtown area is close to popular attractions like Hallgrimskirkja, the harbor, city hall, and Tjörnin lake. It’s definitely a must to walk around Reykjavik’s downtown area.

The City Hall is right beside Tjörnin lake where people gather during the summer for some sun and to socialize.

Inside City Hall, there’s a huge 3D map of Iceland and a view of the lake.

Of course, there’s shopping, but if the goal is not to spend, one can just look and appreciate. 😊
