Throwback: Strawberry Fields, NYC

Every December 8, Beatles fans gather at Strawberry Fields in Central Park, New York City in remembrance of John Lennon. He was shot in front of his apartment building, The Dakota, on December 8, 1980.

Fans from various parts of the world come to lay flowers and sing Beatles songs, especially those written by Lennon. The 2 times hubby and I went, there was a band playing and we joined the crowd singing, “Imagine there’s no heaven. It’s easy if you try. No hell below us,
above us only sky. Imagine all the people
living for today…”
